Pilot Test Program for Certification Exam
RMA is in the final stages of developing
a certification exam for credit professionals, and are
currently recruiting 200 volunteers to participate in the
pilot test program, up to 10 participants per bank. The test
examination is designed for individuals with at least three
years’ experience in the credit field, including credit
analysts, commercial lenders, underwriters, etc. RMA is
looking for a broad cross-section of test-takers for the
pilot exam, and seeks to include people of diverse
ethnicity, gender, age, and years’ experience.
The pilot exam will be held between August 23 and September
23, 2004 at testing centers convenient to participants.
Prior to taking the examination, RMA recommend that
participants invest 40-80 hours of preparation time
reviewing the Body of Knowledge, Glossary, and Ratios
provided by RMA. RMA will provide individuals in the pilot
program with preparation materials and the pilot exam at NO
COST. What’s more, if a participant does not pass the
September exam, he or she may take it again at NO COST in
spring 2005 when it is available to the public.
Many of the nation’s largest financial institutions have
pledged their support for the RMA Certification process.
RMA’s goal is to establish this certification as an industry
standard, similar to the CPA exam in the accounting field.
If you participate in the pilot exam, you will have the
unparalleled
opportunity to be among the first certified credit
professionals in the country—at absolutely no cost to you or
your bank. To find out how you can participate in this test
program, please contact Kim Consiglio, Central Regional
Executive, at (586) 939-7569.
