JERRY BRANDT

With more than 30 years of experience in the
financial industry, Jerry provides clients with a unique
perspective on today’s business challenges. As a member of
Wipfli’s Risk Management team, Jerry performs a variety of
services for clients such as: Loan portfolio review;
Operations review; FDIC compliance.
In 1972, Jerry began work as an officer for
the Jackson County Bank in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. He
was responsible for a variety of duties including collection
of commercial loans, developing full accrual accounting, and
managing the conversion to full computer operations of the
main office as well as four branch locations. In addition,
Jerry utilized positive growth strategies to increase bank
assets from $18 million to $60 million over a 10-year
period.
Over the years, Jerry has worked in a
variety of financial environments including the
investigations department at the FDIC in Burnsville,
Minnesota. As the department head, Jerry was responsible for
the hiring, training, and development of a team of 15
investigators who filed claims on Bond, Director, and Officer
Liability in failed commercial banks. In addition, Jerry has
been CEO of several commercial banks and savings and loans
institutions for the FDIC-Resolution Trust Company (RTC).
Prior to joining Wipfli, Jerry served as a
financial consultant providing commercial loan credit
reviews for several institutions as well as SBA, commercial,
residential, and real estate loan origination.
