Two years ago I was asked to become a Board member for the Wisconsin Chapter of RMA . At that time, I thought that RMA was only an organization that provided industry standards through financial statement study analysis and sponsored some educational seminars. Over those two years, I have been pleasantly surprised what additional information I have learned about RMA. Last spring, I attended the RMA Leadership Conference, which attracted about 200 other Board members from State chapters throughout the U.S. This conference focused on how your Board of Directors can operate your organization so that you maximize your benefits from your membership dues. It was a three-day seminar that focused on Leadership, Education, Membership, and Communication. All the seminars and programs were very professional and informative. This fall, I attended the RMA National Annual Conference and once again, I was pleased with the informative seminars and the attendance.

Currently your 13 Board members from the State of Wisconsin have outlined an educational calendar. RMA National has 76 different educational topics to choose from. Here in the State of Wisconsin we have chose to host about 15 National programs throughout the State on various topics.

In these two years, I have learned that RMA is truly the educational leader for the financial institution industry. I encourage you to attend some of these educational events and become more actively involved. Please inform us if there are other ways you would like to benefit from your membership.
